The Madness Guesser is the online office pool for College Basketball; it manages the entry of picks, tournament brackets, scores, etc.
The NFL Guesser started in 1994 and continues today. 2025 is the inaugural season of the Madness Guesser.

NFL Guessers will find MADG familiar:

• Picking a winner earns you points. More points for an underdog.
• Upper left is the school ranking. Bottom right is the points you can earn with a win.
• Prognosticator (the bracket) needs to be entered before the first Round 1 game starts.
• Pick'em entries can be changed up to game time.

All players are required to make a $10 USD donation before the tournament starts. The donations are pooled and returned in full as prize money.

The top 25% of the players in each receive money, ranked by points descending.

• Team display - Team Logos or School Names
• Supress Reminder Email - A Reminder email is sent on the day a round starts ... in case you forget to make your picks.
• Participate in Winnings Rollover - Choose this if you want upto $10 of your winnings to be held by the MAD Guesser admin for the next season. .... just a time saver.
  

This page allows the user to enter their picks. The user is unable to modify picks for games where the start date/time has passed.  After results are entered this page displays the users wins and losses for the week.

A user may hide a pick from other users. After the game has started, the hidden picks will be visible to all users.

An automated job scrapes web sites to determine mid-game scores. This is scheduled at 5 minute intervals whilst games are in progress.

• Who - This page allows anyone to view everyone's picks for a week. The users are sorted according to earned points
• Results - After results are entered the losses are shown as a red X.
• Navigation - The blue arrows allow the user to view the next or previous week.
• Weights - The game weights are displayed in the team image if it is 2 points or 3 points.
• Money - The green line represent the break between in-the-money and not.

This page allows anyone to view everyone's points (wins-losses) for the season or playoffs. The users are sorted according to winning percentage. Results in green signify the highest score for the given week.

This is where users enter their predictions for the tournament teams and results.

This page shows the financial credits and debits for your logon. At the end of the season one can choose to "rollover" the next year's donation and have their current data replicated.
